Enjoy Green Leaf Sweet Corn All Year Long
Fresh sweet corn season never seems to last long enough! Freezing sweet corn is an easy way to enjoy that fresh-from-the-field flavor long after the season ends.Whether you’re putting away a few bags or stocking the freezer for winter, we’ve gathered two of our favorite ways to freeze fresh sweet corn. Pick up your Green Leaf Sweet Corn, set aside a little time in the kitchen, and you’ll be glad you did when you pull out a bag for dinner months from now.

Ingredients
- Ingredients:
- 6 Cups of Green Leaf Sweet Corn – Cut off the cob (raw)
- 2 Cups Water
- 3 TBSP Sugar
- 1/2 TSP Salt
Instructions
- Pick up some Green Leaf Sweet Corn from the stand.
- Husk the sweet corn. Make sure all the silks are off (wiping with a damp cloth can help).
- Fill a pot with water and bring to a boil.
- Place clean sweet corn in the pot and boil for one minute.
- Remove sweet corn and place in cold ice water bath. Leave in ice bath until sweet corn is cooled.
- Use a bunt pan to hold sweet corn while cutting off of the cob. We use an electric knife.
- Package sweet corn in freezer bags in quantities that work best for your family.
- Remove air from freezer bags and place them in the freezer.
- Note: Remember to date your sweet corn. We use a Sharpie marker and write the year on ours.
